Venetian Room
The Venetian room is a reminder of the most important and major port with which the Islanders traded. Shiploads of sponges, which were individually collected by Symian divers, were sent to Venice before being distributed to wealthy clients throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
The room offers cool open plan living in the old agora building and is furnished with period Italian artefacts and antique paintings showing views of the city at the time.
